Sunday Set List
Pastor Tom you will be missed. Thank you for many years of service.
Today was a short one for us as a band. We got to join with the traditional service for a farewell service for Pastor Tom. We did two quick acoustic songs.

Sunday Set List
So this is the earliest in the week I have ever blogged about our service. We just got done playing! I'm sitting here already planning for next week because I am so pumped! We had great worship this morning. We were short a few folks so it was just me on guitar and Wes on our percussion box. That box is weird. How do they make something sound like a snare drum and a bass drum all wrapped into that thing? Gotta be the eighth wonder of the world! You guys rocked it out as always.

Sunday Set List
I'm so far behind this week. Let's see if I can remember what happened last Sunday. Mike our drummer was out (he thinks going to Disney World is more fun than playing drums for us!...JK!) so we managed to make it through a couple of songs without him. It's funny because I expected it to be really calm and quiet like all intimate singing and stuff but our folks surprised me! A few times I just stopped singing all together and let them have it. It was great!
Thanks go out to Lindsey and the SWAT team for helping us out and putting together excellent special music and drama. HBC is so blessed with talent!
We have a special worship night of music and praise this coming up Sunday at 6pm. Come out and join us if you would like. If you are coming spread the word. HBC is located across from Summergrove.
Open the Eyes of My Heart - original arrangement
My Savior My God - Aaron Shust
You guys rock,
Phillip

Sunday Set List
This week we were all excited because we did a new song! Hillsong United's "Arms Open Wide". It turned out pretty good. Angela was sick so we had no female voice and my voice was feeling really rough but me and Jeff made it through all the singing. Exciting things in the works. A night of praise and worship is coming up Feb. 21st at 6pm. Everyone is invited. We would love for you to join us at HBC. (the Church across from the main Summergrove entrance.)
Forever - Chris Tomlin
Arms Open Wide - Hillsong United
Did you feel the Mountains Tremble - Martin Smith
From the Inside Out - Hillsong
Nothing But the Blood - Charlie Hall
See ya!

Sunday Set List
Chic-fil-a sweet tea is so good! Just had to throw that out there.
This past Sunday was great. Great worship and excellent message. In this blog post I wanted to ask a question. Do those of you who volunteer for something, doesn't have to be church, anything, a charity event, a fundraiser, anything. Ok, here's the question...Do you ever lose focus on your goal? I know it's sometimes that way for me at my volunteer position at church. I sometimes forget what I am really there for.
Well, the band had a two hour practice this Sunday and I don't feel like we learned a whole lot. But, I'm a perfectionist and practices sometimes go better than I think. We are working on a couple of new songs and just because you are reading I will let you know about them. They are both by Hillsong. One is Hosanna and one is Arms Open Wide. I think the band is really going through a Hillsong phase right now because we are all in love with their worship style. We will find other things we like, it will just take time. Thanks for everyone who supports us and prays for us.
Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman
Doxology - David Cowder Band
Lead Me To The Cross - Hillsong United
Here I Am To Worship - Chris Tomlin
You're Everything - David Crowder Band
Later Guys,
Phillip

Sunday Set List
It's a new year and I'm already a month behind on keeping you up to date with what's going on with our music at HBC.
Well, I won't try to catch you up, I will just start with what happened yesterday.
We have reverted back to live preaching instead of simulcasting our main pastor over the projectors. I'm curious to see people's reaction to this. Jim has done a great job with the messages over the past two weeks. Pat Spradlin gave a very uplifting presentation about her volunteer work with the Women's Pregnancy Center in Newnan. Elijah Sleigh did a great job with kicking off the start of our prayer teams.
As far as the band 2010 is looking good so far. We are putting some new things together. We continue to grow in our knowledge of the older songs. We are beginning to put some "twists" on the older stuff. Hopefully this year will see us fully being able to record our services so I can give you a sample of what I keep rambling about.
Beautiful One - Matt Redman
Famous One - Chris Tomlin
More Love More Power - Original Arrangement
Indescribable - Chris Tomlin
Thanks for reading,
Phillip
