Chic-fil-a sweet tea is so good! Just had to throw that out there.
This past Sunday was great. Great worship and excellent message. In this blog post I wanted to ask a question. Do those of you who volunteer for something, doesn't have to be church, anything, a charity event, a fundraiser, anything. Ok, here's the question...Do you ever lose focus on your goal? I know it's sometimes that way for me at my volunteer position at church. I sometimes forget what I am really there for.
Well, the band had a two hour practice this Sunday and I don't feel like we learned a whole lot. But, I'm a perfectionist and practices sometimes go better than I think. We are working on a couple of new songs and just because you are reading I will let you know about them. They are both by Hillsong. One is Hosanna and one is Arms Open Wide. I think the band is really going through a Hillsong phase right now because we are all in love with their worship style. We will find other things we like, it will just take time. Thanks for everyone who supports us and prays for us.
Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman
Doxology - David Cowder Band
Lead Me To The Cross - Hillsong United
Here I Am To Worship - Chris Tomlin
You're Everything - David Crowder Band

Sunday Set List
It's a new year and I'm already a month behind on keeping you up to date with what's going on with our music at HBC.
Well, I won't try to catch you up, I will just start with what happened yesterday.
We have reverted back to live preaching instead of simulcasting our main pastor over the projectors. I'm curious to see people's reaction to this. Jim has done a great job with the messages over the past two weeks. Pat Spradlin gave a very uplifting presentation about her volunteer work with the Women's Pregnancy Center in Newnan. Elijah Sleigh did a great job with kicking off the start of our prayer teams.
As far as the band 2010 is looking good so far. We are putting some new things together. We continue to grow in our knowledge of the older songs. We are beginning to put some "twists" on the older stuff. Hopefully this year will see us fully being able to record our services so I can give you a sample of what I keep rambling about.
Beautiful One - Matt Redman
Famous One - Chris Tomlin
More Love More Power - Original Arrangement
Indescribable - Chris Tomlin
Thanks for reading,
Phillip
